Cahuita
Cahuita, located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, was once an insider tip for dropouts and may even have remained until today. It is located about 43 km southeast of the provincial capital of Limón,
In the second oldest National Park in the country with its offshore coral reef a beautiful eight kilometers long hiking trail always leads along the deep blue waters around the peninsula. Among other things, this is the habitat of howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, parrots, hummingbirds, sloths, raccoons, iguanas, snakes, lizards, pelicans, helmet basilisks, agoutis, leafcutter ants and many other species.
The place is one of the centers for individual tourism in Costa Rica. Here you maintain a casual atmosphere, but you still have to do without the conveniences of modernity. To arrive here, you have to "take the speed out" and with open senses just perceive the colors, sounds and the atmosphere. Descendants of immigrant families for example from Jamaica and the incorporation of their culture, their music, the Creole cuisine and their mixture of Spanish and English give the place a very special flair.

Apartments
In 2010, the groundbreaking ceremony for our Apartments Babilonia took place in the heart of Cahuita. Meanwhile, we welcome guests from all over the world, up to the Vatican. The biggest gift for us is a satisfied guest and in recent years quite often guests have become dear friends. We are a German-Costa Rican couple, are always available for any questions and are of course also helpful in the organization of excursions.
We look forward to welcoming you in Cahuita!
For inquiries about the reservation please send us an email. We will inform you immediately if your desired date is still available.

Costa Rica, Spanish for "rich coastline", is located in the heart of Central America, with the northern neighbor Nicaragua, Panama is adjacent to the south. In the east it is bordered by the Caribbean and in the west by the Pacific. The country is considered one of the most progressive in Latin America. The army was abolished in 1948 in favor of the promotion of education and health programs. Costa Rica gains almost 100% of its electricity needs from renewable sources, and about 27% of the country's land is under protection, because the greatest treasure of Costa Rica is the unique flora and fauna. This is appreciated by nature lovers, photographers and individual tourists.
